Black-eyed Susans with Round Window
Black-eyed Susans with Round Window

These flowers proliferate throughout Northern New Mexico every fall. These were growing front of our first house in Santa Fe in 2004.

Beautiful photo, Paul. I love the contrast of colours – and different shapes. The circular window reminds of the colours that Maxfield Parrish used in his paintings and the feelings it evokes for me are calmness and also nostalgia.
It’s always nice to see great photos, so thanks for posting it.

Thank you, Nancy.I hadn’t made the Maxfield Parrish connection, but I see it now that you point it out. I’m glad it brings you feelings of peace and nostalgia.
