Simple, it’s the easiest, most effective and really, the best way to learn how to be successful in your relationships.
In our 30+ years of experience teaching principles and practices for consciously creating successful, fulfilling relationships we have found that the very best learning happens in community, especially in communities of practice.
We have been part of four separate intentional communities of practice. Two of these grew up around our work in Hawaii and San Diego and consisted of several hundred people at any given time.
Many people like to think they can read a book or take a class on relationships and transform their relationships. However, it doesn’t work that way.
We learn about what works and what doesn’t work in relationships while we are actually in relationships. It is much easier to learn and practice skills with other people who are learning and practicing the same principles and practices as you, especially when you have the benefit of mentors to guide and support you.
In so many ways we operate in our relationships without reflection or awareness, perhaps because we take relationships for granted; like fish in water or birds in the air.
Consider this:
- We are conceived in relationship.
- We are born into relationship.
- We are raised in relationship (even if it wasn’t our birth family).
- We are wounded in relationship.
- And we are healed in relationship.
Our greatest hopes and dreams are about relationship, reluctant though we may be to admit it, at times. And our greatest wounding and deepest ache is also in relationship. Relationship is an area of deep vulnerability for most people. So deep it’s often hard to talk about. And unless it is very, very safe to do so, we don’t.
Unfortunately, too many people don’t make it to the “healed in relationship” part, so remain stuck for years, decades or a lifetime in their relationship wounds.
The truth is, you can’t do it alone. Many people seem to think they can go into a closet, fix themselves up and come out all shiny and relationship ready.
You know in your heart of hearts it just doesn’t work that way.
The basic premise of this program is that most of the challenges, problems and breakdowns that you experience in your relationships are due to a lack of knowledge about what makes relationships work, and lack of skill in the “real world” practices of success — NOT because there is anything wrong with you.
The Relationship Savvy Circle of Support is of vital interest to you if you want your relationships to be as successful and fulfilling as they can be.
Why? Because relationships don’t just happen, they are created.

You May Be Wondering, Why Are We Doing This?
Good question, glad you asked! Two reasons, really, maybe three.
First, our “prime directive” if you will, since we’ve been together has been to help transform the way the world relates. To help transform the way people relate, communicate and solve problems together.
There are many crises occurring in the world in many domains from the climate and global warming to political and social problems to economic instability globally.
Yet, one thing all of these issues have in common at their core is relationships.
None of these very serious issues will get any traction or make any real and lasting difference if people are not able to align behind a common vision for the good of humanity, the planet and all of life on our precious, fragile blue marble spinning through the vastness of space.
We know we have something valuable to contribute that others will be able to use to make a difference in any number of ways. So, we have to have a way to get what we have learned and proven in our work into the hearts, heads and lives of as many people as possible.
That won’t happen if our work is confined to our private coaching practice.

Our relationships represent an evolutionary opportunity to expand our consciousness to become more loving of ourselves and others. And to become wiser in the choices we make and more self-aware and self-reflective as we consider the choices before us, individually and collectively.
